Your Work Environment

You’ll join the CMS Tribe of one of the most popular open-source headless CMS platforms in the world. The mission: empower developers and content creators to build flexible digital experiences – faster.

The CMS Tribe includes the Content team and the Developer Experience team, and we’re hiring one Senior Backend Engineer for each. You’ll work in a fully remote, async-first environment with strong engineering practices, direct access to product and design, and a collaborative, international culture.

This team is building the tools that thousands of developers and companies use to create, manage, and scale content. Code quality, stability, and a modern DX are at the core of everything we do.

What You’ll Do

• Own the design and development of new CMS features, tools, and enhancements

• Write clean, well-tested code in TypeScript & Node.js

• Collaborate across engineering, product, and design

• Solve user problems creatively without overengineering

• Review pull requests – including open-source contributors

• Mentor other engineers and foster knowledge sharing

• Help shape the technical roadmap with your input and ideas

This Role Is for You If…

✅ You have 6+ years of backend experience (Node.js + TypeScript)

✅ You’re fluent in English and based in CET ±2h (🇫🇷🇩🇪🇮🇹🇵🇱🇵🇹🇷🇴🇱🇹🇪🇸)

✅ You’ve built and maintained APIs (REST, GraphQL)

✅ You’re familiar with databases and migrations

✅ You care deeply about code quality, testing, and performance

✅ You’re proactive, curious, and enjoy mentoring others

✅ Bonus: You’ve worked with CMS tools or contribute to open-source
